Israel Ports Company continues upgrading Haifa's grain terminal. The company has issued an international tender for the procurement of a new grain unloader (CSU) with at least 1,200 ton/hour capacity. The company stated that the new onloader, which will be equipped with systems minimizing air and water pollution will replace a mechanical unloader operating in the silo for more than 25 years.
Prior to the tender, the Israel Ports Company issued a Request For Information (RFI), gathering information on global innovations in the field.
The Haifa grain terminal handles approximately 75% of Israel's 3 million ton/year grain import market.,
